An eclectic, cinematic retail space for local clothing brand Mutimer in Collingwood. Rich timbers and earthy tones unify contrasting retro influences to create a versatile set for the brand's ever-changing narrative.
A collaborative retail design for local clothing brand Mutimer, located in the creative hub of Collingwood, Melbourne. The eclectic design draws from key movements including Mid-Century Modernism, 1970s Californian style, subtle hints of Western ranch design, and 90s tech paraphernalia. These contrasting aesthetics are unified through a consistent, heavy application of warm, earthy timber and accents of maroons and greens - colours consistently appearing in Mutimer’s collections. The space is intended to be a versatile “set” where the changing chapters of the brand’s “script” can unfold freely, just as they do in their cinematic campaign films.
Unifying contrasting retro aesthetics with warm, earthy timbers, Mutimer's Collingwood flagship is designed as a dynamic, evolving backdrop for the brand's story.
